“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”

Proverbs 16:3

I’m happy to see you again this year!!

Just wanted to take a moment to thank those who’ve already made appointments and come by the office to visit… I mean get their taxes done this year!  I so enjoy catching up with my clients while preparing their taxes.  Its about building relationships with my customers not just adding another tally mark to the number of returns I’ve prepared.  Also, thanks to all of you for getting my name out there.  Referrals are my favorite!

I am able to accommodate your schedule so if you need an evening appointment those are available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  No appointments available on Mondays after 3.  Saturdays are by appointment only.  Just let me know what your schedule is and together we’ll figure out a time that works for you!

If you haven’t made an appointment yet – give me a call or send me an email today to get one set up. (864) 583-2433 or hubcitytax@att.net

See you soon!!!

Gov’t Shut Down… No Worries, the IRS is Still in Operation!

It’s here… AGAIN!  Tax time is upon us.  How will the new 2018 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act affect your income taxes?  You may be surprised.  With the child tax credit doubling, the individual tax rates expanding (and in some cases reducing), the standard deductions nearly doubling and the new QBI 20% deduction we’re all sure to see some sort of change in the bottom line.

Please call or email to set up your appointment now (864-583-2433 or hubcitytax@att.net) .  My office hours are M-F 8-5 and appointment only on Saturdays.  However, I will be available outside of those hours if you need an appointment after 5 (so just shoot me an email or give me a call and I will try my best to accommodate your schedule).

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Temporary and Unusual… Office Hours

Please don’t be alarmed if you stop by my office (or call) during business hours and I’m not in.  I have a daughter that had ACL repair surgery at the end of November and the “MUBER” (that is Mom-Uber combined there for you)  is in full swing.  Between physical therapy, orthopedic appointments and having to pick her up from school my fall schedule had to be adjusted a bit.

Please don’t hesitate to call and leave a message (864-583-2433), send me an email (hubcitytax@att.net) or shoot me a text (864-809-5305) and I will get back with you at my earliest convenience.

Rest assured though come mid January – I’m all in! Haha!  Feel free to call ASAP and get your appointment set up for tax preparation!!

Gratefulness…

80 days.  That’s how long “tax season” was for accountants this year… Well, for the regular filing deadline… if you filed an extension you have much longer (180 days longer to be exact lol).  I can’t speak for other accountants but for myself – those 80 days are something of an adventure.  I look forward to catching up with my clients – hearing what the previous year was like for them.  I laugh with them and I have cried with them.  I deliver fantastic news of refunds and devastating news of a balance due expected or unexpected – no taxpayer is ever ready to send additional money to the government.  I gain to build relationships with my clients.  If I know what’s going on in their lives it helps me understand them better and we can connect on a level that allows me to have an open line of communication… and sometimes, every once in a while, they say something that triggers a thought of  “hey, that may have an impact on your tax return, lets dig a little deeper there”.  I want my clients to walk in the door and never dread having to come sit down with me.  I want them to walk in, make a cup of coffee and sit for a minute while we get to the finer details of their finances.  I want my clients walking out the door satisfied with the service they received even if the outcome wasn’t what they expected.  I want them to leave my office and tell others about the pleasant experience they had because they had an accountant that is interested in their lives and their story because it allows me to better serve them.

The gratefulness I feel for every single person that walks through the door is something I can’t quite put into words.  The smiling faces that walk in my door make my day.  We had no expectations when we opened this accounting office – just a giant leap of faith and deeply rooted hope.   So to my current clients, and the future ones as well, thank you.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of this journey.  This isn’t MY accounting office… it’s Spartanburg’s accounting office.
